ReplyDeleteTripler is in Hawaii, but think we are going to end up in San Diego. This is a difficult time of year, and the annual residency and fellowship training cycle begins on July 1st, so many of the senior staff take leave just before. Ortho Spine capability is not available at this moment until we get to San Diego.
The medevac system is like a local train with designated stops....so we get picked up on Wednesday 23 June and fly to Okinawa (some patients dropped off) and then on to Tripler (more Patients dropped off) and then to Travis Air Force Base in California. then it will be a 4-5 hour ambulance ride to San Diego, where his accepting Orthopedic Spine Surgeon is located. So may not arrive for 4-5 days from when we depart Yokosuka.
Don't know yet, but do know that we are leaving on 23 June to go somewhere.
